Here are some of the ways I like to spend and/or waste time on the internet:

Nom Nom Paleo
Caveman food porn. If you don't know what Paleo is, you can click here or here or here to learn more, but all you really need to know is it's a way of eating that mimics (and I say mimics, because if you get too literal with anything you are probably mentally ill) what our ancestors ate, with the belief that it works better for our bodies because we have evolved around it. This means cutting out grains, refined sugar, dairy and legumes. There's lots to be said about it and I'm no expert, however I will say that I do take some stock in it. And when I eat like this, I do feel a (good) difference.

Nerd Fitness
Amusing, simple and informative! That's how nerds like it.

Bodybuilding
I'm not a body builder. I do not look like a body builder. But I do like to lift weights! If you have any interest in learning weights, this site has a lot of resources. You don't have to be jacked to browse it, and you will probably not increase your testosterone just by taking the chance and checking it out (sorry boys). Side note- ladies, lifting heavy weights will not make you bulky. Please learn more here.

MyFitnessPal
Unfortunately for my fragile psyche, I have been logging my calories and exercise here for over a year. As much as it induces my OCD tendencies, I love it for keeping me on track. If you do use it, please check out these additional links to make sure that you're not a noob.

The Ultimate Cognate
My longtime friend's blog about the universal language of food! She's a great photographer so you don't even need to know how to read to enjoy it!

Paw Prints, Food and Tennis Shoes
Another buddy's blog :) similar and probably superior to mine, approaching food as it relates to her new healthier, fitter lifestyle.

Jenae
Facebook page for one cool chick- check out her before & after pics!

Body Recomposition
If you really want to nerd-out, check out Lyle McDonald. It's pretty science-y, so I'm sure most of it goes over my head. However I do believe that he would never support a fad diet or supplement or anything that cannot be statistically tried, true and safe.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle
More nerding-out! This one's a book (a la PDF), not a webpage. It's in simple English, describing how your body and metabolism actually work. It's written by a bodybuilder, but again don't be scared off by that! If anything, be intrigued, because clearly bodybuilders spend a lot of time, umm... building their bodies. I know you're going lolsteroids at me, but really. Shussshhhh.
